Olympics Day 9: Richmond and Steveston

I wanted to check out a different part of the city so I went out to Richmond and Steveston, for the day. Richmond is a suburb of Vancouver with the speed skating arena and the O Zone. Steveston is a small fishing village southwest of Richmond. It turned out to be a very unproductive day of shooting, but it was refreshing to get out from the hustle of downtown Vancouver and check out a different part of town.

I think you’re on to something with the fan portraits. I’ve never seen it before and it attracts my attention more than the sports does. I’ve always been interested in what goes on around the game rather than the games itself. I’d like to see more.

Have fun in Vancouver, it’s a wonderful city. You’ll have to return in summer and go to the island to go see the blackfish (orcas)!
