Arielle and I decided to leave the fridge 75 degree weather in Phoenix in search for nicer 75 degree weather in sunny San Diego. So it’s not really any more sunny than Phoenix, but it is greener and the the city isn’t laid out in a grid, so I’m quite confused while trying to navigate.
We stopped at Desert View Tower in Jacumba, California. The tower was built sometime between 1922-28 as a dedication to the area’s pre-highway days. Now it’s a neat tourist trap.
After an hour of bouldering and looking for the springs we continued on. Our first stop was the beach. We lucked out and got there just in time for sunset. It was the first time I had seen the sunset on the Pacific. I could get used to seeing it more often.
