Last weekend I left hot sunny Phoenix for sunny Florida to attend Geekfest. Unfortunately it was cloud and I didn’t see the sun until the day I left. Though, it was a nice break from the 400 days of sun a year Phoenix gets.
I wanted to thank everyone who work hard to make it happen. Melissa, I’m sure it seemed like herding cats most of the time. Mike, I wasn’t there for the watermelon fight, but if we’re back in St. Pete next year, I’d be more than happy to help harvet your new crop of watermelons. Thanks to all the speakers, Ted Jackson, what can I say other than “WOW”. Michael Williamson, your passion is inspiring. Ross Taylor, Preson Gannaway amazing work and very inspirational.
Mitsy, Matt and Rich, I’d room with you guys again anytime. I met so many awesome new friends. Amelia, Tom, Susana, Kendrick, David, John L, Shawn, Jenna, Ariel, Matt R, Matt S, Brandon, Gerry you guys and gals rock. I’m inspired by your openness, kindness and vision. Also I can’t forget to thank Jim Ostrand. He’s a great guy, willing to go that extra mile to help strangers new friends.
For the most part it felt like Photo Camp and when it was over a piece of me wishes it could go on forever. Like camp, it has to end and you go back to real life. You take all the good experiences and use them to help you grow.
